A few attempts at writing with rhythm.

My Mansion

When I stumble
I normally fall
But when I rise
I refuse to crawl
Though bruised and sore
Not a tear will fall
I hold my head up
Back straight and tall
Even through the laughter
Full of hatred and gall
I take a deep breath
And ignore it all

For today a lesson is learned
I have built a new wall
Courage is my foundation
Formed with truth that will never pall
My structure is built of strong timber
Split with determination as my maul
Held together with nails of faith
Hammered in with each footfall
One day it will be a mansion
A sight that will enthrall
The very eyes of those that laughed
At my every pitfall
